Seven Songs For America and One For the World
A hurricane relief album inspired by Barack Obama.

Contains our internet hit song "Fired Up, Ready To Go". You're listening to it now.

Inspired by Barack Obama and his supporters we believe the momentum that is transforming lives around the world needed an inspirational sound track. "Seven Songs For America & One For The World" captures the spirit of America during these historic times. Produced by Jon and Joe Bergevin (aka. Bergevin Brothers Music) with production assistance by Matt Cameron of Pearl Jam, the album features original songs performed by Seattle's Pastor Pat Wright and her Total Experience Gospel Choir. "Fired Up, Ready to Go" was the first song inspired by Barack Obama's candidacy and was followed by "Rise Up, Daylight Breaks." In response to the tremendous outpouring of support with comments like "This should be the campaign song" and "Where can I buy this amazing music?" those involved agreed to expand the project leading to "Seven Songs for America And One For The World"

In January 2008 we created a song "Fired Up, Ready To Go" and the song made it into this documentary.

“Seven Songs for America and One For The World” also has historic relevance.   It seems that not since 1788 when America’s first composer of secular music, Francis Hopkinson, wrote “Seven Songs for the Harpsicord”, and dedicated it to the nation’s first president, George Washington, has there been a complete album written for and dedicated to a president, or candidate for that matter (the search engine didn’t turn up anything else).  Joe Bergevin shook hands with Obama in Seattle in December and commented, “I think you’re going to get the job done”.   Obama replied, “With your help I will, with your help.”  The charge has inspired an 8 month all-out effort by the brothers and many others, and has culminated in another orchestration and chapter for America’s deep history.
